Here are some resources and information on crisis services:

1) Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Center BC
     1-800-SUICIDE: 24 hour crisis line

2) Seniors Distress Line

3) WAVAW
        604-255-6344; 1-877-392-7583 (toll free): Rape crisis center 24
hour line

4) Battered Women Support Services

Provide immediate emotional support and practical assistance to help you
cope more effectively should you be experiencing a crisis. BWSS offers
immediate, short-term help to survivors of violence in intimate
relationships, childhood sexual abuse and adult sexual assault.

Crisis Line; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10:00-5:00PM and Wednesdays
10:00-8:00PM:  604-687-1867

5) Mosaic

Multicultural victim services. Free and confidential program to support
victims of all crimes in Vancouver and Burnaby in their recovery.  You do
not need to report a crime to the police to receive help.

 604-254-9626 (Monday–Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).

6) Living Through Loss Counselling Society of BC

The LTLC is a not-for-profit organization that provides professional grief
counselling to adults and children who have experienced any type of loss.
They offer a confidential and supportive environment in which to discuss

7) AIDS Vancouver

If you are living with HIV/AIDS, you can count on AIDS Vancouver's Case
Management program. We work to help you achieve stable and sustained

8) Immigrant Services Society of BC (ISSofBC)


Immigrant Women’s Peer Support Program (IWPSP) assists immigrant and
refugee women who are in the process of adapting to a new life in Canada.
The program provides a safe and supportive space to help newcomer women:
break feelings of isolation, develop support networks, learn new skills,
gather information and resources, develop or enhance leadership skills .
