1. A Radical Space?

I wonder what a radical safe sexual space might look like for me and it
hits me like a velveteen encased sledge hammer. A radical safe and sexual
space would be one in which I am label-less, one where I wear or carry no
words to gain acceptance or to be loved.

I talk about finding love online in my past blogs as if it was the easiest
thing in the world for me to do. But believe me, it wasn’t... I am sadly a
statistic of many Indigenous women around the world for whom love is either
a miracle or it completely evades us all together.

It’s fun being young, sexy, and energetic, more so living positively with
HIV. It is something you have to consciously strive to live by. People
living with HIV have either two options: to live positively or to live in
misery. I chose happiness, but it came with a fair share of trouble.

4. What Does It Mean To Be Sexy, Really?

I thought I would ask, what does sexy look like, smell like, sound like,
move like? A sensory visual of what women living with HIV identify as sexy.
It sounded like a springboard I could write from to share truly wonderful
bits of advice with our Life and Love with HIV community.

5. The Three Date Rule

The first couple times I disclosed my status on the first date it turned
out to be a negative experience. I got rejected, yelled at, and men looked
at me as a bad person... This is where I decided if I wanted to date, I
would wait till the third date to disclose my status.
