tansi/hello all............

Welcome all to ViVA!!

I will take this moment to encourage and remind us all about the importance
of intersectionality / anti-oppression and decolonial work.

Vast majority of so called B.C is unceded indigenous territory. Everything
east is mostly treaty territory and the issue of indigenous rights and
soveirnty is complicated and takes effort to educate oneself. In the spirit
of reconciliation - we all can walk the good walk in a good way -
intersectionally.

I live on unceded coast salish - vancouver.
i am 2spirited, cree and norwegian.
postive since 1995.
family is from burns lake, bc - dads side of the family. mother is from
treaty 1 - peguis nation, manitoba. i mostly follow my indigenous heritage.
originally from treaty 6 - edmonton.
living on the coast since 1980.

missed the positive gathering and the workshop we were proposed to
facilitate due to the sudden death of my 55 year old brother up in
edmonton. (flew up to tend to his affairs and body)

here is some info from the organization i founded some years ago now.

ps.....also finishing treatment for HCV / Hep C. Pretty recently funded and
approved due to the change in government - the NDP. Epclusa is quite the
expensive and working drug on all forms of HCV. (the provincial liberals
stalled and majorly underfunded Hep C treatments - the provincial liberals
are conservatives and i for one am very glad they are gone and their
oppressive corruption is slowly dissipating. Epclusa:
https://www.epclusa.com/ . if you know anyone or are also HCV positive -
you most likely qualify for this treatment, contact your doctor/healthcare
center/clinic)
