[Viva] stigma video

I'm interested to know how others feel stigma is affecting them now. I had
to recently quit a hairdresser because she was doing my hair on two
separate occasions and talked about HIV+ people as getting it because they
were "promiscuous". Little did she know she had her hands on the hair of
someone with HIV!
I have been public with my HIV status but do not tell someone on first
meeting them as I want them to get to know me as an individual first (I may
never tell them depending on our friendship and whether I would talk about
any other illness I might have).
My general experience has been better over the years.
I am considering doing a talk on stigma and without naming anyone, I would
like to hear your thoughts on stigma today.
