[Viva] Love Positive Women event tonight at Youth Co!

We are just over halfway through Love Positive Women, a global celebration
of women living with HIV in our communities. Our celebration is part of a LOVE
POSITIVE WOMEN: Romance Starts at Home!

which first started in 2013. It is a holiday for women living with HIV that
happens annually from February 1st - 14th. *Using Valentine's Day as a
backdrop, LPW creates a platform for individuals and communities to engage
in public and private acts of love and caring for women living with HIV.* Going
beyond romantic love to deep community love and social justice, LPW is a
call to action. It requires participants to reflect on how they as either a
woman living with HIV or an ally will commit to loving women living with
HIV and then do it. Through action, change can be made to fueling economies
of love and compassion. Working from a place of strength, LPW focuses on
the idea of interconnectedness, relationship building, loving oneself and
loving ones community. By starting from a place of love, within oneself
there are endless ways that the negative impacts that HIV has on women
living with HIV can be lessened. The International Community of Women
Living with HIV hosts this event globally each year.

*YouthCO is pleased to be hosting our second annual Love Positive Women
event <http://www.youthco.org/lpw2017> on February 10 (tonight!), and we
would love for you to join us from 5:30 - 8pm at YouthCO. **This event has
been organized by two fabulous young women living with HIV. *We are located
on the second floor at 568 Seymour St, in downtown Vancouver. We will have
refreshments, music, valentines, and opportunities to connect. Women living
with HIV of all ages, our families, and allies are welcome to join this
event, and we will have activities for little ones and those of us who are
young and young at heart.
