As of December 1st, the applications for scholarships

submissions has opened up. I highly encourage you all to apply. There are a
number of different ways that you can be supported in the process which I
think that you should all take advantage of to increase your chances. Here
are a few things that I have learned about applying for AIDS Conference
Scholarships:

1. Your chances of getting a scholarship greatly increase if you have an
abstract (workshop, poster, art, market place booth...) accepted in the
conference. This can be in the AIDS conference OR the Global Village.
2. Your chances of having your abstract accepted are better if you have
your submission edited in the abstract mentor program
<http://www.aids2018.org/Abstract-Mentor-Programme> and/or attend the
abstract writing sessions that the IAS and key partners host. Take
advantage of this!
3. If you are working with as a peer researcher or in a program that has a
number of staff, ensure that women and girls living with HIV are the point
people on the abstract submissions, running the booths and facilitating the
workshops. The people submitting the abstracts get the scholarships.
4. Don't discredit the Global Village as a place to host your workshop,
show your art project, or sell your goods from your social enterprise. Most
people who are accepted to lead an event in the Global Village are
supported to go if they apply for a scholarship.
5. In your applications for a scholarship talk about how you will use the
experience of attending the conference to give back to your community. Make
sure that you stand out and talk about if you are part of marginalized/key
populations.

You have until February 1st to submit! Time will go quickly.

Le escribo para compartir algunas cosas en relación con la Conferencia
Internacional sobre el SIDA que está teniendo lugar en Ámsterdam en julio
de 2018.

A partir del 1 de diciembre, se han abierto las solicitudes de becas y
presentaciones de resúmenes. Los animo a todos a que se postulen. Hay
varias maneras diferentes en que puede recibir soporte en el proceso, que
creo que todos deben aprovechar para aumentar sus posibilidades. Aquí hay
algunas cosas que aprendí sobre la solicitud de Becas de la Conferencia del
SIDA:

1. Sus posibilidades de obtener una beca aumentan mucho si tiene un resumen

Je vous écris pour partager quelques points concernant la Conférence
internationale sur le sida qui se déroule à Amsterdam en juillet 2018.

Au 1er décembre, les demandes de bourses et de soumissions de résumés ont
été ouvertes. Je vous encourage vivement à postuler. Il y a un certain
nombre de façons différentes d'être soutenu dans le processus dont je pense
que vous devriez tous profiter pour augmenter vos chances. Voici quelques
choses que j'ai apprises au sujet des demandes de bourses d'études de la
Conférence sur le sida:

1. Vos chances d'obtenir une bourse augmentent considérablement si vous
avez un résumé (atelier, affiche, art, stand de marché ...) accepté dans la
conférence. Cela peut être dans la conférence sur le SIDA OU le Village
Global.
2. Vos chances d'avoir votre résumé accepté sont meilleures si vous faites
modifier votre soumission dans le programme de mentorat abstrait et / ou
participez aux sessions d'écriture abstraite que l'IAS et les partenaires
clés organisent. Profitez-en!
3. Si vous travaillez en tant que pair chercheur ou dans un programme qui
compte un certain nombre d'employés, assurez-vous que les femmes et les
filles vivant avec le VIH sont les personnes sur les soumissions de
résumés, les kiosques et animant les ateliers. Les personnes soumettant les
résumés obtiennent les bourses.
4. Ne discréditez pas le Village global en tant que lieu d'accueil de votre
