*GNP+ calls on people living with HIV to share their knowledge and
experience and attend AIDS 2016. After 16 years, the International AIDS
Conference is returning to Durban, South Africa, and you will want to be
there! AIDS 2016 will be held from 18 to 22 July 2016. *
Are you a person living with HIV supporting other people living with HIV?
Do you work in prevention, help with testing, defend human rights, or in
any other way help to improve the quality of life of people living with
HIV? Have you done research or have your experiences lead you to define
great improvements to the HIV response in your community?
As co-organiser of the conference, GNP+ aims to have a good representation
of people living with HIV from around the world at the conference to
showcase our diversity and increase community input into the HIV response.
We encourage people to apply for scholarships, submit abstracts and apply
for workshops. Deadlines for submission are 4 February (workshops,
abstracts) and the 12th of February (scholarships).
*Please find our briefings on scholarships, abstracts and workshops

The theme of AIDS2016 is Access Equity Rights Now! It is an international
call to action to work together and reach those of us who still lack access
to comprehensive treatment, prevention, care and support services. To
repeal laws that infringe on people’s human rights and deny communities the
ability to participate in the world as equals. To overcome injustice,
violence and exclusion of people on the basis of gender, class, race,
nationality, age, geographic location, sexual orientation and HIV status.
Only with a strong and inclusive response will we be able to end the HIV
epidemic.
Make time now for submitting an abstract, applying for a workshop or
applying for scholarship! Note that GNP+ does not provide scholarships, nor
do we have any power to influence an approval of a scholarship, abstract or
workshop. This work is all done by independent expert review committees and
we love them for it.
See you at AIDS 2016!
