ICWNA has opened a call for new members of our Board of Directors. Please
review the following, we look forward to hear from you!:

*ICWNA 2015 CALL FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS SELF-NOMINATIONS/NOMINATIONS *

October 11, 2015 through October 17, 2015




In November 2014,  the International Community of Women Living with HIV,
North America (ICWNA) established an interim transitional  Board of
Directors.

ICW NA is now calling for nominations, from October 11, 2015 through
October 17, 2015. including self-nominations, for members of the Board of
Directors for a  two year term (2015  - 2017). We would like to welcome you
and encourage you to consider this opportunity.


As a Board Member for ICWNA, you will have the opportunity to address the
concerns of women living with HIV (WLHIV) in North America (specifically,
the United States and Canada) through a regional and global perspective.


Board Members are actively engaged in the governance of the network.  ICWNA
has various committees and elected members of the Board are expected to
participate on at least one committee. ICW NA welcomes potential Board
members with all varieties of skills, including, but not limited to
expertise in fundraising, grant writing, social media, public policy, and
project management.


All women living with HIV from the North America Region (specifically, the
United States and Canada) are welcome to become Board Members, as long as
they are ICWNA members or willing to become members.


We encourage all regionally eligible WLHIV to nominate or self-nominate. We
would like to encourage WLHIV from historically marginalized groups,
including indigenous and transgender women, as well as all groups that are
not typically visible as being representative of WLHIV, to please
self-nominate.  After the nomination period closes, the Board election will
be conducted via Survey Monkey and all ICW NA members can vote on the list
of candidates.


All issues facing WLHIV in the United States and Canada are relevant,
however, if you have a background, strong interest, in stigma,
criminalization, economic justice and employment, sexual and reproductive
rights, aging, or any other specific issue for WLHIV, we want to hear from
you!


Board Members must be available to attend an on-site Board meeting to be
held in Canada in the fall of this year; specific location and dates to be
announced.

During the period of nomination, October 11, 2015 through October 17, 2015,
please send a brief bio and statement of interest in serving on the ICWNA
Board of Directors (approximately two paragraph to half-page) to
icwnacoordinator at gmail.com.
