Naina,

Forward Together has teamed up with visual artist Micah Bazant for Trans
Day of Resilience! #TDOResilience is an art and activism project that
recognizes and supports trans women and femmes of color in their lives and
leadership, not just in death. We paired eight trans and gender
non-conforming artists with eight organizations, including several Strong
Families partners, across the country doing trans justice work.

*Join us on November 13 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET to hear from participating
artists and organizers in the Trans Day of Resilience culture shift
project!

This project is an extension and reimagining of Transgender Day of
Remembrance, the annual event memorializing people – often trans women of
color – killed by anti-trans violence. Trans Day of Resilience goes beyond
remembrance, and uplifts the resilience and power of trans and gender
non-conforming communities of color.

The art created for Trans Day of Resilience tells stories of trans power,
vision and leadership. Our Strong Families November Coffee Chat will be an
opportunity to learn about the incredible trans justice organizing
happening around the country, hear from a growing cadre of trans and gender
non conforming artists, and get a sneak peak at some of the gorgeous new
art!* Join Strong Families partners and artists on November 13 at 12pm PT /
3pm ET for our #TDOResilience Coffee Chat!

* Strong Families

is a network of hundreds of organizations and thousands of individuals that
believe that every family must have the rights, recognition and resources
it needs to thrive. *

* It is a home for the 4 out of 5 people living in the US who do not live
behind the picket fence – whose lives fall outside outdated notions of
family. We see the trend of families defining themselves beyond the picket
fence – across generation, race, gender, immigration status, and sexuality
– as a powerful and promising development for the US, and we want to help
policy makers catch up through advocacy and collective action. *

* Strong Families is a project of Forward Together, a multi-racial
organization that works with community leaders and organizations to
transform culture and policy to catalyze social change. *

Internal peace is an essential first step to achieving peace in the world.
How do you cultivate it? It's very simple. In the first place by realizing
clearly that all mankind is one, that human beings in every country are
members of one and the same family.

Guardianship is not to give an order but to give one's self.

Grow
