*Welcome Waheedah Shabazz-El, PWN-USA's Regional Organizing Coordinator!*

Positive Women's Network - USA is thrilled to welcome to our staff Waheedah
Shabazz-El as PWN-USA's Regional Organizing Coordinator. Based in
Philadelphia, Waheedah is an African American Muslim woman and retired
postal worker, diagnosed with AIDS in 2003. Waheedah is a founding member
of the Positive Women's Network-USA, Steering Committee member with the HIV
Prevention Justice Alliance and Steering Committee member of the Global
Network of People with AIDS North America Stigma Index. In addition, she
represented women living with HIV and Positive Women's Network as a closing
plenary speaker at the 2010 International AIDS Conference in Vienna,
Austria.  Waheedah was a member of PWN-USA's inaugural Board of Directors.

In 2014, PWN-USA looks forward to working with Waheedah in this new
capacity. Waheedah's responsibilities in this position include providing
training, technical assistance, and support to women living with HIV
organizing at the local, state and regional level.  Please welcome Waheedah
