focused on mothers living with HIV?*




*This forum will include presentations by leading community members,
researchers, service providers and clinicians from British Columbia
including: *Dr. Deborah Money and Dr. Mary Kestler from Oak Tree Clinic, BC
Women’s and Children’s Hospital

Dr. Angela Kaida from Simon  Fraser University and BC Principal
Investigator for CHIWOS

Sangam Grant from Positive Women’s Network

Valerie Nicholson - mother, grandmother, peer, community representative for
CHIWOS and community leader



Dr. Saara Greene from McMaster University will also highlight findings from
the HIV Mothering Study in Ontario.

Simon Fraser University at Harbour Centre, 515 West Hastings Street,
Vancouver



The event will start with food and networking, followed by presentations
and a World Café! See attached for more information. *Please distribute
widely.*

*Travel and Childcare Assistance are available* to support mothers living
with HIV to attend. Limited funding is available and interested individuals
must contact Allyson Ion at iona at mcmaster.ca or (905) 521-2100 ext. 73443
or (519) 429-2661 (text) to access funding.



*This knowledge-to-action forum will:*

1. Discuss issues currently affecting mothers living with HIV and their
implications on research, clinical and community-based practice and policy.

2. Highlight the care and support services currently available to mothers
living with HIV in Vancouver and surrounding regions.

3. Strengthen regional networks of community members and service providers
invested in creating safe and accessible services for mothers living HIV.
