[Viva] Drug trials for a Vacine...

It definitely has been mentioned in May from another source and there are
some people on a trial.  I am sure if there was a breakthrough it would be
front page news in every major newspaper worldwide.  I do believe one day..
in our lifetime.. it will happen and I have to say the Dr. Montaner has
been more optimistic than I have seen him in a long time.

Having said all that, it is also such a game changer for anyone who has
lived with this for so long and is approaching retirement.. what would it
mean in that way?  Would you have to find a job at 60 years old?

When the medication came in at the 1996 Vancouver conference we were all
celebrating but underneath it all we couldn't help but wonder if that would
be the end to anyone caring about people with AIDS... I believe it actually
was the end.  Things changed a great deal after that.
