I had a friend who told her Korean neighbour that she had HIV. The
neighbour was very scared and would not say hello anymore.. would not let
her kids around my friend. However, my friend took the Korean neighbour
some info and the neighbour also went to the doctor, who put them right
immediately! Now it's the opposite.. can hardly stop the neighbour wanting
to visit and give gifts for their unfairness.
It's about education and whether they are open-minded enough to actually
listen and take it in. It is your illness, not theirs and you don't have
to do anything you don't want to. The best reference for this is Positive
Living Advocacy Dept. They will even send someone to talk to them.
So sorry you have to deal with this.. Hugs,
Denise
