Hi Gals,
*RE: Positive Living Society of BC is presenting the Positive Gathering
March 22- 24th.*
(My favourite conference!)

The deadline for *workshop proposals* and for *scholarship
applications*(ie. transportation and accommodation for out-of-towners)
has been
*extended until Feb 15th*. (The deadline for conference registration for
those living in the lower mainland is March 8th)
The Positive Gathering committee is looking for workshops related to
"Wellness" such as yoga, Tai chi, nutrition etc. Although anything that you
are passionate about is welcome. Also, if you know any HIV+ hetero-guys
please spread the word, let them know about the gathering as heterosexual
men are under represented and under supported.

To apply to run a workshop, here are the questions and how to submit:
Workshop & Proposal Guidelines:

Workshop and Proposal Content:

   1. Workshops are 90 minutes long and are focussed on discussion among
   participants. Materials/lectures presented should not exceed 30 minutes.
   2. Workshops should address topics of interest to persons living with
   HIV. Please specify your intended target group (youth, rural residents,
   First Nations, etc.) in your proposal.
   3. Workshops should be co-facilitated with at least one HIV-positive
   person, experienced at leading group discussion.
   4. Please provide a workshop title (10 words or less), languages of
   presentation, and a short description (25 words or less) for inclusion in
   the conference program.
   5. Proposals must include specific, concise learning objectives and a
   description of the training, teaching or sharing method you will employ.
   6. Please note whether or not your workshop will be open to HIV-positive
   people only.
   7. Please list any equipment you will require the conference to provide.
   8. Please provide the name, affiliation, contact information and a brief
   biography for each of your facilitators.

Honoraria and Expenses:

Successful applicants will be offered free conference registration.
HIV-positive facilitators are encouraged to apply for scholarship support
toward accommodation and travel.
