Hi Romari,
Speaking of switching gears, I find myself letting go of the past consciously through meditation and yoga, which are called practices for a reason. Even 10 minutes of a still mind every morning has made a huge
difference in my life. I can be more present and let go of the past
and worry less about the future. Learning to say no is one of the most
important lessons I am working on this new year to ensure I do not
distract myself from self-care by caring for others instead. I am struggling with the yoga practice due to the cost and limited space in my living room to use a DVD but at least I am stretching and walking every day. Fresh air and avoiding isolation is key for myself. This VIVA group is a tremendous help in avoiding feeling as if I am the only one feeling a certain feeling, such as loneliness, sadness, despair, fatigue, etc.
Anyhow, I hope my two cents helps and I look forward to reading your next article. Your article on in the Positive Side Catie magazine was well written and very interesting and compelling. Keep it up.

Subject: [Viva] Girl Talk - help please
Hello all,
I am looking for assistance in writing an article for Girl Talk. I am already past my deadline for the article I was scheduled to write and realize I need to switch gears now in order to write an article in time for the next issue. The original article is going to require much more time to complete.
Recognizing that I have taken on more than I can handle at the moment, it is only fitting that I am now thinking to write an article on self care with respect to women. As women, we often put ourselves last when it comes to self care, only after tending to the needs of our significant other, our children, parents, friends etc. etc. I am recognizing these traits in myself more these days and thankfully, recognizing when I need to stop myself from carrying on to the point of crashing!
I would appreciate hearing any of your comments or ideas for how you may or may not give yourself self care. Also, any helpful hints that you can think of or indeed do for yourself to keep yourself grounded that you would like to share would be appreciated.
As time is of the essence, I would appreciate a few moments of your time over the weekend (as long as it does not take away from your own self care) :)
Many thanks,Romari
