Romari just told me about the collage. Funny my partner said what if someone takes it, I said who would want it. I guess as a group we are quite the urban artists. Hopefully it will surface if not we have pictures and know we created a statement about the criminal (in)justice system.

I am sorry to hear that about the collage. I know that a lot of work was put into that. Take care, Dawn

We have a mystery!
Sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday morning the collage by the Women's HIV University disappeared. I hope it was misplaced by the hotel. We checked everywhere and left our contact info in case it surfaces. But it is very strange since it is too big to just carry out and who would want it anyways?
If anyone has any ideas where it might have gone ???
Also ... the photo exhibit was powerful too.
Thanks to the sensitive photographers for their view.
Sadly,
Margarite

I too was so happy to be with and be surrounded by so many wonderful positive women. Thanks everyone for your strength and passion.
I know that it takes a lot of energy for us to simply show up. We did! In numbers and in force!!
Now take some time to pamper yourselves and recover. I am speaking also to myself as I arrived back in Victoria with a broken truck and a head cold. The truck will get fixed (or not) and the head cold will go away in a couple of days. Hugs to all -peg

I very much echo the appreciation to Alana for the closing ceremony - incredible.
I also want to acknowledge the power of the art by positive women that was displayed at CAHR. Peggy's "This isn't a Cocktail Party" , the criminalization collage by Women's HIV University and Alana's suitcase installation. All were very powerful and brought the invaluable voices of PHAs into the scientific research world!
Congrats on your work and gratitude to you all for the creative expression of your truth through art.

Many great moments, presentations and networking over the last 4 days at the CAHR conference but I especially want to thank Alana for closing the conference. That was very courageous. Alana had scientists, health care providers, community workers and PLHA's all holding hands in a big circle united for the same cause.
Beautiful!!!
Again Thank you!
Margarite
