a national non-profit organization committed to reaching youth with a
powerful HIV/AIDS prevention message, has signed-on to join the March on
Washington on July 22, 2012. For 20 years, Lifebeat has mobilized the
music industry to provide HIV/AIDS support and awareness, primarily
targeting youth from 13-24 years old. Co-founder, and Board Member Tim
Rosta, emphasizes that they "created Lifebeat to help open a dialogue and
break down the doors of ignorance and lack of compassion."

Lifebeat channels the power of music and the vital role music plays in
young people's lives to enact change and promote safer sex practices. They
have teamed up with countless artists and AIDS service organizations to
disseminate prevention information and materials. Everyone from Beyonce and
Sarah McLachlan to Seal and Sean "Diddy" Combs, and countless artists have
used their time, talent, and resources to support Lifebeat's mission of HIV
prevention, and providing support to people living with AIDS.

people are among our important partners when it comes to ending HIV/AIDS
stigma and spreading awareness. Lifebeat is on the front lines of
harnessing youth support for this cause and understand that young people
are indispensable in preventing HIV/AIDS and ending HIV/AIDS stigma. For
this reason, Lifebeat is a crucial partner in the March on Washington, as
both the March and Lifebeat aim to mobilize and inspire young people in
this fight.

With the support of Lifebeat and other youth organizations, we anticipate a
large group of young adults joining together at the March on Washington to
fight stigma and show that education and prevention are key to eradicating
this disease.
