       Dear ,

The world is on the brink of a scenario unthinkable a few short years ago:
the possibility of beginning to end the AIDS epidemic in our lifetimes.
Millions of lives will be saved if we scale up our resources and
effectively apply all the proven tools we have today to dramatically
improve the health for the tens of millions of people with HIV/AIDS
worldwide and curb new HIV infections.

We have already begun to experience the impact of this strategy in B.C.,
where HIV/AIDS morbidity and mortality have decreased by over 80% and new
HIV diagnoses have declined by over 60%. We know we can still do better,
here and abroad.

A declaration calling for humanity to turn the tide on the epidemic
together will be featured at the AIDS 2012 conference next week. We are
calling for people around the globe to sign it and to invite anyone else
they know to do the same.
