thank you so much everyone for your replies!
i feel much better about going through customs now. i am going to take my pills in their original bottle with my name label on it. considering all the people that must travel with all sorts of medications, i doubt they will focus on mine if they look legit.
if they do question me, i read that i have the right to privacy so i will ask that they take me to a private room. and i will try to get in a line away from my family members.
i'll let you all know how it goes.
xo kat

Subject: [Viva] Answers...... how do i travel with my meds?
Hi, I have traveled world wide with my meds. for years. What I have found best for me are......
1. Always carry in hand bag on plan just in case your main luggage get lost.
2. Tell pharmacy that you are going traveling and you want the clear bottles with labels made by the computer. (the bottles look like orange /tan like colour)
Once you tell them you're going traveling they usually know the drill.
3. If you have meds at home and need to switch into travel bottles make sure you have your pills in the original bottle or box other wise they won't switch them.........if they aren't, you need to get Oak Tree pharmacy to but threw another order for your pills...they are very help.
4. Just to be extra safe and cover all bases Oak Tree clinic can give you a TRAVEL LETTER so if you're ever questioned you have it has back up. Letter states, meds. are for a chronic condition, need to carry with you to ensure no interruptions in therapy, contact number if they have questions.
5. Been a women is an 'extra plus' because if people stero type which many still do depending where you're traveling.....some still think is a gays man illness
6. I know some concerns were that the security people or custom people know the names of the medications......I don't believe that is true. They are to busy looking for others things to worry about peoples medications, plus, I can barely pronounce my medication I am on or it has 2-3 different names......so I can't see the other people having it has their top priority or concern....they would need a list a mile to remember them all.
7. In all my travels over the last 15yrs I have never been stopped or questioned.
I hope this has helped "Happy Safe Travels" !!!
Heidi :-)

tansi/hello peoples,
not sure of the border crossing deal.
certainly mixing can be problematic.
proving to the border people what medications/drugs/pills one has is
important, but it is also random.
people i know have mixed them up.
i have, but then that was a domestic flight.
really tho.......if it is labeled - they know what they are and should not
ask questions - especially if your name is on it.
safe travels.
