Programming and Research Implications for
Canada*<http://www.catie.ca/sites/default/files/Framework%20Document%20-%20Nov%202011%20Final.pdf>

Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) to outline regulatory, policy and
programming barriers, research questions, needs and priorities identified
with respect to the introduction of new prevention technologies (NPTs) in
Canada. It offers an overview of key items to be addressed, including:
demonstration projects and acceptability studies with key populations, the
Canadian version of Mapping Pathways, national implementation guidelines,

Highlights from our partners
*New eLearning Opportunity for New HIV Prevention
Technologies*<http://ycommunicatelms.com/cpha/>
The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) is pleased to launch its New
HIV Prevention Technologies (NPTs) eLearning module for frontline
providers. The eLearning module was developed by HIV prevention experts
across Canada for frontline providers working in HIV prevention. The
eLearning module serves as an introduction to new HIV prevention
technologies (NPTs) with the goal of increasing users' knowledge, skills
and capacity to communicate NPT information effectively.
In light of recent trial results on new HIV prevention technologies, it is
important for all frontline providers working in HIV prevention to have a
standardized understanding of NPTs, the state of related research, and the
implications for HIV prevention.
Production of this eLearning resource has been made possible through a
financial contribution from the Public Health Agency of Canada. The views
expressed therein do not necessarily represent the views of the Public
Health Agency of Canada.
*Universities Without Walls invites applications from community-based
persons working in HIV research* <http://www.universitieswithoutwalls.ca>

including community-based research, and selects up to two community-based
persons to be part of the UWW Fellowship cohort alongside 10 academic-based
emerging HIV researchers from across the country. The current application
period is now open.
For more information, visit www.universitieswithoutwalls.ca and encourage
