Hi Margarite and Denise and other on the Viva hotline.

Thanks again Denise and others who make this all accessible and available to the general public as well as the private links between us.

I just agreed to be involved in podcast radio show talking about sexuality and HIV - and I can hardly recall what sex felt like.... But thought I should send the link and just see if you want to listen - and if you have thoughts after the show maybe we can continue the conversation online....

The show is called sex, lies and consciousness and available at noon on Mondays at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/sexliesandconsciousness/2011/11/07/sex-lies-n-consciousness-debut-party And the session about HIV and sex will be on Dec 5th. I am not totally feeling qualified - but then what qualifications does one need?

Hoping your days are going swimmingly. Love -peg

She who finds the path - the right path - does so for herself; and when she goes astray she creates her own loss and pain; and no one who carries a burden bears another's load. Taken from - "He who finds the right path does so for himself; and he who goes astray does so to his own loss; and no one who carries a burden bears another man's load." Al-Qur'an 17:15

I believe that in many ways this is the right thing for me to do because a) I don't have kids or family who are "out there" with me, so it makes it easier. b) I believe if people like Ryan White who was just a kid in the U.S. and Zackie Achmat, an advocate in South Africa, can come out about their status then why not me? c) I don't care what the public thinks - if they want to stigmatize me then I know it is their problem, not mine.

But, not you - really proud of you Denise - Yes, we need more people to get to know their status - but the legal issues are certainly not encouraging people to come forward. Need to get rid of the witches scare... One way is to participate in Municipal elections as it seems that many of our leaders rise from Municipal office, perhaps we need more positive candidates.

You can go to the It's Different Now site too and watch it on there (mine is under the egg timer and Julio's is at the bottom of the star - not sure what that means! lol)
