With all the negative press the Downtown Eastside gets, what is life in the
DTES really like? Two CBC documentaries, *Skid Row* (1957) and *When I'm
Alone* (1968), give historical perspective to life in the Downtown Eastside.
A panel will shed light on the reality of life in the DTES today and discuss
some of the services available to residents of this tight knit community.
