I just wanted to send you this. It is from a very good friend of mine and
it was filmed last year and shows that people still are willing to put
themselves out there and say I care that you have to face stigma!

This year at the AIDS Walk in Vancouver, some people will be appearing
before the event at a press conference with paper bags over their heads to
show that not everyone will walk because they are still worried that people
will see them and they will be "outed". This will be a strong visual
message and will say - stop the apathy and start the caring.

I have heard that in the Fall the push for Affordable Access to Medicine for
all will be revived. Let's hope that is true. In addition, in August, the
Annual General Meeting for Positive Living BC will take place. If you would
like to be a Board member and want to know what is involved in participating
then please let me know and I will send you an email about it. I think
Shelly can tell you that the staff and many of the current Board are really
wonderful people to work with and arrangements can be made to bring you to
Vancouver for meetings but most are on the phone.

I hope you all had a great weekend and are enjoying the beautiful green
grass we have as a result of all the rain!!!

Denise
