[Viva] Education and Job Postings.

I love seeing these job postings. It just aggravates me that I have been in school university for 10 years and I still don’t meet the qualifications for the majority of these jobs. I have only managed an associates degree and professional writing certificate. Do any of us have a Bachelor of Social Work or related degree? How many of us women have a BSW? Most of the job postings I see come through VIVA have this listed as their main qualifier. Just curious to know where our average level of education is amongst our group? Maybe if you don’t feel comfortable sharing this info with the whole group you can email Margarite and let her know. It would be nice if job posting could be more targeted toward the average education level of us women. I believe if ASO’s actually want positive women working for them, then they ought to make the effort to create job postings that we can compete within. Otherwise, I feel these job postings are meaty bones being dragged in front of us which the majority of us will never even get to taste.

I just so often feel so inadequate. I want meaningful work. Just never seem good enough.
