*Call to Action: Cost of Poverty Too High*

*Greetings signatories,*

If you've received this email it's because your organization has signed our
call for a poverty reduction plan for BC...
When you signed on you probably asked us what else you could do to help, and
this week we've got an important call to action for you.

*Thursday, July 14th* will mark the release of a new report that demands
attention.

*The Cost of Poverty in BC* (co-published by SPARC BC, the Public Health
Association of BC, and the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives) will
provide the first-ever BC analysis comparing the economic costs of poverty
with the cost of implementing a plan. The numbers are damning. Along with
the report the CCPA has produced a animated short film starring economist
Iglika Ivanova that is poised to change the conversation on poverty in this
province.

*We need your help getting it out there!*****

**1.      **On July 14th we will forward you the Youtube link to the video
and details of the report and we're hoping you will *push this out to your
networks far and wide*.
 ****
