Good Morning,
So Denise, I am glad to hear your feeling somewhat better and that you have a better understanding of what's been plaguing you. Hopefully a diagnosis will lead to way to reduce and/or treat this problem.
As for the conference, you we're truly missed by so many...myself being one, I thought that after all the time we have spent communicating on this listserv and on conference calls that we would finally get to meet in person. Oh well...next time. I'm know there will be more comprehensive reports on the conference to come but I just wanted to reply to your posted inquiry. The ViVA AGM went great, 21 women in attendance, many of which were newly joined or totally new to ViVA. The full AGM Minutes and report will be sent out soon (as soon as all have recovered from the weekend and get them together) but suffice to say some great dialogue, ideas and enthusiasm we're present and resulted in exciting stuff.
I very much enjoyed the conference and managed to attend 5 of the 6 session times . I was disappointed when I found out you weren't coming for another reason too, as I had planned to attend the social Media Session you we're giving. To let you know, I still went and was happy to find a replacement to do the Social Media.. John Bishop did a great job. Considering how little time he had to prep with your presentation...he did you proud. I got a great deal out of it and found it answered many of my questions...around twitter especially. That doesn't mean I may not still pick your brain from time to time.
Well, I'm going to keep this fairly short. I will write about the conference again when I've digested it all for a day or two.
Be well all, Ally

Thank you, Penny. Well, I found out that I do not have Meniere's. After two appointments, Friday and today, I found out that what I actually have is BVVP. It is a vertigo disorder, similar to Meniere's. I still have it a little today but it cleared up a lot on Sunday after suffering for five days with it. ugh! I am really mad I missed the weekend.
Can anyone give me feedback on how everything went? What was your favourite part? Was there any workshop that you particularly liked? Was there anything you didn't like? Is everyone worn out from the weekend? :\
I hope you all had a great time.
Denise

I am sorry too that you are unable to make the trip as I was hoping to meet you.I also suffer from Menieres and have been told to stay away from salt, which may help. I also take HCTZ, which I think stands for hydrochlorothyazide (I don't think that is the correct spelling) which helps me get fewer attacks.
Hope you're feeling better.

I will not be at the meeting this afternoon. I have had to cancel my trip due to illness. I have an illness called Meniere's which comes on intermittently. This week I have been in bed because of extreme vertigo and today I fell in the shower. My doctor told me not to take the flight. I am sorry everyone. I am going to try to get John Bishop to do my workshop on Social Media because he is very extremely knowledgeable on the topic and I have a powerpoint presentation that I can send him.
I am extremely sad that I will not be meeting with you.
Denise
