Ladies, friends and advocates
I feel that it is so important for HIV women to be heard in this country
that we are not going to accept people, including 2.3 million children under
15, to not be able to access medication because it is too expensive. I am
signing this petition and ask you to do the same. Women have the power to
be listened to... let's make them hear our voice! Below is the wording of
the petition and the link to sign it. If we all take a few minutes to do
this then as a group we will be heard and I will make sure the HIV/AIDS
Legal Network knows we are behind them.
Denise
Canada could be saving lives right now by helping get medicines to people in
developing countries. 2.3 million children under the age of 15 are infected
with HIV — in the developing world, one in two dies before reaching his or
her second birthday.
But in order for it to be used, Canada’s Access to Medicines Regime (CAMR)
needs to be fixed. Please support Bill C-393 to streamline CAMR. We call on
you to conduct a full review that includes expert witnesses in health,
international development and trade. We ask you to preserve all the core
elements of the bill
