Hello everyone,

 

Many of you may have already heard, but it felt important to pass on this sad news just in case you have not received word yet. Long time activist, Aboriginal and HIV leader LaVerne Monette passed away yesterday. Laverne was a strong voice in our communities and among the many things she accomplished she supported prisoners rights for many years. 

 

Please see the attached notice from The Ontario Aboriginal HIV/AIDS Strategy.
