1. Advocacy is now providing voice message numbers for our members.  A voice
message number means that members without telephones can leave a message
number for potential landlords or employers or family to use. 

 

            Lu’ma Native Housing Society is the host agency in Vancouver,
British Columbia. They have provided Advocacy with training and a limited
amount of numbers that may increase if there is a demand. Drop-in to
Advocacy Monday-Friday 10am to noon   and 1pm to 4pm.

 

2. Advocacy is holding a series of Marijuana application clinics.  The
clinics will give an overview of the application process, individual
interviews and supply the necessary forms for each individual. First clinic
is Friday April 30th 10:30 am Call to sign up 604-            893-2223.  The
event will be in the “POD”  (old tiad/apt area) The next clinic is in June.


 

3. Advocacy has a separate Housing “Kiosk” computer that has all the current
search engines needed to find a home.  We can also provide welfare intent to
rent forms, bed bug information, and maps. Kiosk operates Tues/Weds/Thurs
10am –2pm.
