Dear colleagues,

 

I am writing to highlight BCPWA's unique 3 night/4-day workshop/retreat
developed for HIV-positive individuals and their HIV-negativeH44 partners.
At a serene lakeside setting, workshop participants will join other couples
at a weekend designed to strengthen, affirm, and enhance their
relationships.   

 

Designed as a both workshop and retreat, couples will be engaged through
facilitated discussions, presentations and group work, while still having
opportunities for outdoor fun, indoor games, and relaxation. Opposites
Attract is held in a beautiful rural setting with comfortable private rooms,
fabulous food, and majestic views.

 

In addition to learning ways to sustain healthy relationships and cultivate
intimacy, participants from past workshops deeply valued the unique
opportunity to meet other couples in similar situations and greatly
appreciated the chance to discuss topics openly amongst a group of their
peers.  

 

Opposites Attract is free of cost to HIV-positive individuals and their
HIV-negativeH44 partners.  HIV-positive individuals must presently be a
BCPWA member or are willing to become a BCPWA member.  

 

We are currently taking names for those who wish to be interviewed to attend
the workshop.  Interviews will be conducted in Vancouver and Abbotsford.
Phone interviews may be arranged for areas outside the lower mainland. Space
is limited.
