 Greetings everyone!

Well... after a long hiatus - new members joining and old members moving
away, babies being born and new projects started - the Vancouver
Participatory Economics Collective has some new energy and oomph and we are
inviting you to join us.

For some time, Vanparecon has focused exclusively on educational
initiatives. We worked to get the word out about the parecon model -- why
it is a serious alternative to the economic systems of contemporary society,
and how it would work to overcome the multitude of crimes perpetrated in the
economic sphere as well as the political, cultural, and kinship spheres, and
so on. Now we are looking to expand our work a little further, by
continuing our educational initiatives but also working on strategy
development, and community initiatives such as reading groups and projects
that aim to implement the structures of a participatory society now!

If you have some interest in getting involved, would like to find out more,
or want to explore whether there are projects that inspire you, then please
come out to our next meeting! If you can't make this meeting but are
interested please drop us a line.

Date: Tuesday November 11, 2008
Time: 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Place: Rhizome Cafe, 317 E. Broadway
