[Van-Parecon] Social Event, Friday July 14, 7:00pm

Hello,

This coming Friday, July 14th 7:00pm we're hosting a social
event for anybody who would like to get involved in our
organizing efforts, find out more information about what we do
or simply say hello. The social will be held in the North-West corner
of Grandview Park, just off Commercial Drive (cross st. is Williams).
There is easy transit access to the park via the number 20 Victoria
Bus rout. Hope to see you there!

Also,on July 19th we'll be celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Spanish
Civil War through movies, talk and discussions at Spartacus Books, 319
West Hastings. We'll be showing two movies about the Spanish Civil War,
"Land and Freedom" by Ken Loach and "Nosotros somos asi"  ("This is
how we are") a musical starring children playing on several revolutionary
themes. Produced by the CNT during the 1937 civil war. This showing will
be the first time this film will have ever been seen in English.
