[Van-Parecon] Reminder & Up Comming Events

The Vancouver Area Anti-Capitalist Convergence(VAACC) will be hosting The
Vancouver Parecon Collective to present on 'Alternative Economic Models',
Saturday, May 15th, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Dogwood Center, 706
Clarke Drive, Vancouver. Discussion will follow till 10:00 p.m.

This is part of the VAACC's third meeting to help build momentum for an
anti-capitalist movement in Vancouver. Under the presumption that "Another
world is possible!", The Vancouver Parecon Collective will present various
models of community, socialist and democratically planned economies;
specifically participatory economics. The purpose is to orient an
anti-capitalist movement towards thinking about what alternatives are
available. We will explore both the desirability and feasibility of these
economies; and how to get there.

Come participate in the discussion, Saturday, May 15th, at the Dogwood
Center, 706 Clarke Drive.

Up coming event: June 19 at the Vancouver Pacific Cinematheque, 'The
Corporation' featuring one of movies producers. The film will be
accompanied by a brief presentation on Participatory Economics followed by
a Q&A session.
