[van-discuss] AWOL Magazine calling for submissions

The Central Committee of Conscientious Objectors' Third World Outreach 
Program in conjunction with War Resisters League's YouthPeace Program is 
presently working on the production of issue #4. In the footsteps of our 
last bangin' issue the counter-military articles and essays will be 
accompanied by painting, poetry, graffiti and the CD. The disc will continue 
to feature political Hip Hop and spoken word poetry from artists/activists 
from all over the United States.

We are calling on all artists; poets, Mcs, Djs, producers, painters, 
writers, singers, dancers, photographers, etc. to flex your skills in order 
to smash the military industrial complex, to bring down the prison 
industrial complex, to expose police brutality, and to take a stand against 
the overall militarization of our lives, those present and those yet to 
come. We, as young artists, are very gifted, we also have a responsibility, 
a duty, to use our gifts for the uplifting and edification of our peers, our 
communities, and ourselves.

Deadline for All Submissions is November 30, 2003..
