Hey Jaggi - 

long time no see/talk.... but i just wanted to drop you this not quickly to lend some moral support 
(and i'll seriously try for some financial as well in the upcoming months).... i know from my 
experiences working with darren and most recently, david - how much support from other activists can 
mean.

when the arrests happen, especially on a demo - or when we just take action with others generally - 
there is always that feeling of being a part of something or standing *with* other people - but when 
we get into courtrooms, it is often a very lonely and isolating experience. no matter what we felt at 
that time of arrest, the reality of facing jail time, and endless days in and out of courtrooms can 
paint a very bleak picture indeed. i can't tell you what it has felt like to watch activists so close 
to my heart sit in the prisoner's dock facing serious jail time (and thank god in that case the 
charges were dropped)... when i read your support request email this morning - i remembered that all 
over again (since i wrote all those support request emails for darren and david back then...) - and 
the tension and havoc that the pressures of court and law have on one's personal life.

for better or worse (jail time or not), getting through this means that for now - it won't be hanging 
over your head (the worst part by far is the *not* knowing what the future holds and the inability to 
move forward because you aren't sure of whether everything you start will have to be terminated due to 
a jail sentence). and that's really the goal - is to get through it no matter the outcome - and then 
to get on with what you *want* to do. 

i wish i could be there to come to the courtroom and provide physical support. it definitely does help 
to have people in that damned place with you other than just reporters and undercover csis and 
rcmp officers (just who do they think they are fooling anyhow?) - but for now i'll just say that 
people out here do support you, i support you as a comrade and fellow freedom fighter - and i will 
send whatever lightness and energy to you during your times of trial.
