June 3: On to Ottawa -- for the Peoples Social Forum
The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the People's Social Forum is marking the anniversary of the On to Ottawa Trek by hosting an evening filled with discussion on this harrowing and hopeful piece of a people's history of BC and Canada. As we plan an On to Ottawa Caravan in the lead up to the People's Social Forum in Ottawa this summer, we are excited to revisit the inspirational story that started it all.
June 3 is the 79th anniversary of the original On to Ottawa Trek leaving Vancouver. Join us to learn about the history and the hear about the Caravan planned for this summer, this time heading On to Ottawa to participate in the Peoples Social Forum, which runs Aug. 21-24, 2014.

Are you interested in going to Ottawa this summer for the Peoples Social Forum? August 21-24 will be an historic gathering of social movement activists. We're organizing a Caravan and delegation from BC to attend, and we want your involvement!
Do you have ideas about what programs should take place there? A workshop you'd like to host? Speakers you'd like to suggest? This is the place to do it. We'll also let you know how you can join the various organizing committees and caucuses of the Peoples Social Forum.
