Vancouver Prison Justice Day Rally

Friday August 10th, 2012.

Join us in this day of solidarity with prisoners - gather at the Claire
Culhane Memorial Bench located in Trout Lake Park (Victoria and 15th, East
Vancouver) on the southeast corner of the lake.

Prison Justice Day was started by prisoners at Millhaven Maximum Security
Penitentiary in 1976 as a day to remember all of the men, women and youth
who have died inside canadian prisons, and to draw attention to the
conditions that contribute to prisoner deaths.

Prison Justice Day is but one day in the ongoing struggle for prisoners'
rights.

Speakers: Justice for Girls, No One is Illegal, BCPWA Prison Outreach
Program, Sisters In Action and Solidarity, Karlene Faith and more...
