Dear Dianne Watts,
 
We are writing to ask you to rescind your invitation to George W. Bush,
who is scheduled to speak on October 20 at the Regional Economic
Development Forum at the Sheraton-Guildford in Surrey.
 
Bush is a war criminal, guilty of authorizing torture and launching an
illegal war on Iraq based on lies.
 
Bush should not be allowed a safe haven in Surrey or anywhere else in Canada.
 
Thus far, the federal government in Ottawa has shamefully failed in its
duty to deny entry or to arrest Bush and other officials of his
administration reasonably suspected of war crimes.
 
That is why we asking you to do the right thing and cancel Bush's appearance.
 
We will be circulating this letter as an online petition, and collecting
signatures from residents of Surrey and people across Canada and
internationally in order to ensure that the issue receives the attention
it deserves.
 
We look forward to your prompt response to our letter.
