Un-Welcome Dick Cheney to Vancouver Monday, Sept. 26

Dick Cheney, the most unrepentant advocate of US wars of aggression and
torture, is coming to Vancouver next Monday, Sept. 26.
 
This will be Cheney's first event outside of the United States to promote
his new book which justifies torture and other war crimes.
 
We owe it to the victims of war and torture in Iraq, Afghanistan and
beyond to have a strong showing of opposition to this event featuring this
war criminal.
 
So we are asking for your help to make sure he gets the welcome he
deserves in Vancouver.
 
Please take a few minutes to write or contact your elected representatives
and ask them to speak out against Cheney's visit to Vancouver and to call
for his banning from Canada or arrest upon entry.
 
And please share the information below about our protest -- we hope to see
you on the 26th!

The misnamed 'Bon Mot Book Club' in Vancouver is hosting war criminal and
unrepentant torture and war advocate Dick Cheney at the Vancouver Club on
Sept. 26.
 
Under international and Canadian law, Cheney should be banned from
entering the country or arrested upon arrival. It is outrageous that the
Harper government, which has on a number of occasions banned anti-war
speakers and other social justice activists from entering Canada, would
allow this war criminal to enter Canada to promote his new book.
 
Join us in giving Cheney the welcome he deserves. Organized by the StopWar
