Join the Boycott Israeli Apartheid
Campaign<http://www.boycottisraeliapartheid.org/>,
Queers Against Israeli Apartheid - Vancouver, and Independent Jewish Voices
- Vancouver <http://www.independentjewishvoices.ca/> for a book talk and
discussion with Michael Riordon on the release of his new work, *OurWay to
Fight*, which highlights the voices of grassroots organizers and peace
workers on the ground in Palestine. His work recovers voices and stories of
people who are silenced or relegated to the margins, written out of the
official version.

*Praise for OUR WAY TO FIGHT: *

"Riordon's respect for grassroots action and for the people who commit to it
ensures that the depth of their voiced experience resonates on the page.
In the current era of 'drive-through' media and sound-bite analysis, his
book is a reminder that any 'way to fight' is best articulated by those who
do."
*-Andrea Meeson, City Press, Johannesburg, South Africa, April 2011. *

"Riordon's thoughtful portrayal of hope in a time of trouble is inspiring,
and reminds us that activism is not magical, but rather a very human
response to the conflicts that require people to make difficult moral
choices."
*-Matthew Behrens, Quill & Quire, Canada, April 2011. *

"Even though I personally know many of the activists interviewed in the
book, Riordon managed to teach me many new things about them, and through
them to teach me more about a topic that I have been studying intensively
for many years…. It would take much effort of self-denial for a reader toput
down the book and move on with their lives, without being compelled to
contribute
something to the struggle for justice in Palestine."
*-Shir Hever, Dissident Voice, US (online) and Alternative News, Israel
(online, from the Alternative Information Centre, May 2011. *

Michael Riordon is a writer and documentary-maker, generating books and
articles, audio, video and film documentaries, and plays for radio and the
stage. He also leads courses, workshops and seminars for community
organizations, trade unions, schools, colleges and universities. Michael lives
with his partner in rural eastern Ontario.
