Anti-Up! Vancouver is an emerging Vancouver organization offering courses
and workshops for people interested in social justice issues.
Our first project is a 5-week course (50 hours) for people who want to learn
about workshop design and facilitation.
Facilitators:
Some of the facilitators involved include:
Junie Desil, a Haitian-Canadian poet, activist and anti-oppression educator.
Kalamity Hildebrandt, an activist and facilitator who has been offering
workshops on equity and anti-violence issues in Vancouver since 1995.
Training Dates: 5 Weeks -Starting May 5th, 2011. The course will run
Thursdays (6-10pm) and Saturdays (10am - 5pm.)
Venue: Near East Georgia Street and Commercial Drive, Vancouver B.C.
Accessibility: No steps at entrance, a large elevator, and an accessible
restroom.
Cost: By donation.
Suggested donation for people/organizations with secure incomes/funding:
$500.
The general idea: Pay what you can.
Money will be used to fund travel subsidies, printing costs, honorariums and
future projects.
