South Asian Network for Secularism and Democracy (SANSAD) is a decade-old
organization to promote secular and democratic values among South Asian
living abroad and to oppose the growth of intolerance in South Asia. Our
goals are to build solidarity within the South Asian Diaspora across
national boundaries, to support people in South Asia who are working for
peace, well being, and social justice; to oppose intolerance, oppression,
and the violation of people’s democratic rights; and to oppose policies
and practices of national governments and international institutions that
promote economic inequality, social injustice, and militarism.
