[van-announce] Ongoing Women's Writing Workshop Series

[Grassroots Women]

Following the success of our Mother's Day Writing Contest and summer Writing
Workshops, Grassroots Women is pleased to announce that we will be offering
ongoing Women's Writing Workshops on a monthly basis. 

 

Workshops will be held on the last Sunday of the month from 1:00 pm until
4:00 pm. We will alternate between Writers Group meetings, which will be an
opportunity to bring writing in that you are working on and receive feedback
and suggestions from your peers. (Don't worry if you don't have writing
already developed; these meetings will include time for free writing as
well). Every second writing workshop will be more focused on working through
a writing exercise together to generate more new pieces of writing and
develop new skills.

 

The next gathering will be a Writers' Group meeting on Sunday September 27th
1:00 - 4:00 at the Grassroots Women office (1115B East Hastings, enter from
Glen Drive).

 

All writing workshops are child friendly. Please RSVP to let us know you are
planning to attend and indicate if you require childcare and/or if you will
be bring your kids with you.
