Join the Vancouver branch of the IWW (Industrial Workers of the World, or
Wobblies), for two amazing events on the evenings of Dec. 5th and 6th!
1.IWW Film Night, December 5th 6:30-late, Spartacus Books, 684 East Hastings
Street.
All are welcome to a night of radical politics on film. We will be showing
a number of IWW films covering everything from the story of the Hell-razing
Mother Jones to the current struggle to organize Starbucks by the IWW in
Canada and the US. We will be joined by Organizers from Portland and
Edmonton as well as Fellow Workers from Vancouver Island. The event is $2
suggested admission on sliding scale (no one turned away), all funds going
to support the Vancouver IWW Branch. For more information contact:

2. Wobblies and Zapatistas Café for Radical Change, December 6th, 5-8pm,
Rhizome Café, 317 E Broadway.
Join us for an evening of radical politics, good eats and drinks, and the
chance to get IWW and Zapatista goods and info. ??The Wobblies and
Zapatistas Café aims to create a space for dialogue that can bring into
conversation two very interesting and important movements for social change:
the Industrial Workers of the World IWW, or Wobblies) and the Zapatista
Movement. The event will be a mix between Café and storefront, so that
friends and fellow workers, new and old, and those curious about the links
between the IWW and the Zapatistas can meet and build alliances-all in space
supportive of grassroots organizing, solidarity with indigenous autonomous
movements, and fair trade, union made products. The Rhizome will have their
full menu of beverages and food available - so come for dinner and a
drink!?For more information contact: scarleto at sfu.ca or erikasdream at yahoo.ca
