**Working on a social or environmental justice project or campaign? SFPIRG
has more funding for student and community groups! Check out the
donations<http://sfpirg.ca/index.cgi?d=&g=/pirg/donations.html>page of
our website for all the details. Next application deadline is
*November 15** 2009* for the large donation fund which has now increased to
up to $1000!

SPECIFIC FUNDING CRITERIA
Small Donations {up to $500}
INCREASED! This fund is available to groups with little organizing
experience as well as established groups. Can be used for small campaigns,
one time events, art projects, publications and other forms of social
justice organizing. Applications accepted on an on-going basis.

Large Donations {$500-$1000}
INCREASED! Groups applying for large donations must have a bank account in
the organization’s name. Group must have previous experience organizing
events or campaigns. Large donations are given out once a semester, deadline
to apply is Nov 15, Mar 15, and July 15.

Olympics Funding {up to $500}
NEW! For groups educating and organizing around the effects of the 2010
Olympic games. Applications accepted on an on-going basis.

Conferences & Workshops Fund {$100}
Funding available for students and community members attending social and
environmental justice conferences and/or workshops. Priority given to SFU
students. Applications accepted on an on-going basis.

Usamah Ansari Creative Justice Award {$500}
NEW!  In memory of SFPIRG volunteer Usamah Ansari, this annual award
supports creative social justice work including art, poetry, music and
writing. Individuals or groups can apply. Priority given to communities of
colour, refugees and youth. Award announced annually on April 6th, Usamah’s
birthday. Application deadline is March 15.

Accessibility Fund {up to $200}
COMING in 2010! Funding to help increase the accessibility of social and
environmental justice events, workshops and conferences. Applications
accepted on an on-going basis.
