Hoping to contribute artistically to people's movements for social
transformation?

immersed in the struggle who can inspire and motivate us to work for social
transformation. Contact Grassroots Women for more information about upcoming

* Women's Writing Workshop: Sunday May 17th, 2009 12:00 - 3:00 pm
Please join Grassroots Women and Jannie Edwards, published author and
long-time creative writing teacher, for a women's writing workshop.
Participants of this workshop are also invited to join an ongoing Culture
Workers Peer Support Group, where writers, musicians and other artists can
meet to support each other to develop and cross-pollinate our skills.
Jannie Edwards has published two books of poetry (The Possibilities of
Thirst, Rowan Books; The Raven Tango Poems, MacEwan Press), with a third
forthcoming this year from Frontenac House Press. Jannie has also shared her
love of writing for many years as a creative writing instructor.

Can't make the writing workshop, but interested in meeting other women
writers, musicians, and artists who can support each other to develop our
skills collaboratively and contribute culturally to people's movements for
social transformation and genuine women's equality? We want to hear from
you!
