Join the 'Housing Not War' contingent of the Grand March for Housing...Saturday, April 4, 12 Noon at Seaforth Peace Flame Park

'Money for housing, not for war'
'From Canada to Afghanistan, stop the war on the poor'

The
StopWar.ca Coalition is joining with other peace and community
organizations to connect the issues of housing and social spending and
the war in Afghanistan. We'll be
marching as part of this major spring action to raise awareness of the
urgent need to end homelessness and provide homes for all. 

April 4 is also a cross-Canada day of action against NATO and to call for an end to the war in
 Afghanistan, organized by the Canadian Peace Alliance -- this will be Vancouver's participation in this important day of action! 

More information on the Grand March for Housing:

On Saturday, April 4
2009, thousands of people from communities across BC will come together
to demand immediate government action to end homelessness, build social
housing, protect rental housing and raise welfare and minimum wage
rates.

Please join us on April 4th for a family friendly march at the following locations:

Noon at:
-Thorton Park (Main Street Skytrain Station)
-Main and Hastings
-Peace Flame Park (South End of Burrard Street Bridge)

Or
join us for speakers and music at the Vancouver Art Gallery,1:30 where
thousands of people will come together and show their support to bring
about positive change. Housing is everyone's issue.

can post a poster in a prominent place; staff room, lounge, common
