The Media and Communications Committee of the Olympic Resistance Network
invites you to this social event to build on our networks, momentum and
inspiration for ongoing grassroots media efforts in opposition to the 2010
Olympics.

-watch *Cowboy Smith's* film *Olympiad*, and other grassroots media, to get
inspired by how people use and become the media as a tool for resistance
*-NEW! - Create your own 'speaker's corner' video clip telling your views
about the impacts of the olympics
*-find out about free resources available to help you make your own media
-share your ideas and experience of the impacts of the olympics
-come meet others who make grassroots "media" and find out or share ways to
plug in and strengthen our networks and relationships
-learn about or propose upcoming free skill-share workshops
-share info about your grassroots media work and spaces with others, and
learn about all the other grassroots media spaces that already exist!



This informal social event, a followup from the public meeting at Carnegie
that took place on February 1st, is open to anyone and everyone who is or
wants to get involved in making grassroots 'media' of any kind (*not *just
'indymedia'):
writing, blogging, posters, video, public art, and more!
*that means you!*
