****Please forward to your contacts****

Dear Artists, Community Members and APC Supporters,

The Anti-Poverty Committee is pleased to announce the 3rd Picture the
Struggle art auction fundraiser. The event has been a huge success with
excellent contributions by local artists. Building on these successes we
are calling for submissions for the next fundraiser for the end of April
2009.

We are asking for local artists to donate art to be auctioned off during
the event. Any and all types of art are gladly accepted. We are asking
that artists submit their pieces to the APC by Friday, April 17th.
Please include your name, and contact information. Art will be displayed
and auctioned off at an event, with music, food and drinks and a small
look at the work of the APC over the last year. Please include a small
write up of your art so that we may support and promote the work of all
artists. The date and location of the event is still to be determined,
but will happen at the end of April.

The Anti-Poverty Committee is an organization of poor and working people,
who fight for poor people, their rights and an end to poverty by any means
necessary. The APC has been involved in a campaign against the 2010
Olympic games, gentrification of the Downtown Eastside and the continued
assault on poor people in Vancouver. Funds raised from this campaign will
go towards the ongoing campaign against the 2010 Olympics and specifically
our campaign around project civil city.

For more information or to submit your piece, please contact:

We are looking forward to this great event, and the way this will further
our future campaigns of resistance.
