Protest Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff for his support of Israeli war crimes in Gaza
Wednesday, Jan. 14 7:00 - 8:00pm 212 Carroll Street (at Cordova)
Outside Young Liberals Pub Night at the New Irish Heather
Thursday, Jan. 15, 5:30 - 7:00pm at Kwantlen University, Surrey Campus
Conference Center, 12666 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey (see event announcement below)
Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff's position on the massacre in Gaza has been indistinguishable
from that of Stephen Harper and the Bush administration -- blame Palestinians for the violence
and cover for Israeli war crimes. Ignatieff, the author of 'Empire Lite' and the 'Lesser Evil' and a
prominent intellectual booster of the wars against Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Iraq, must be held
accountable for his complicity with Israeli war crimes over the past two and a half weeks which
have claimed nearly 1000 lives in Gaza.
Please join our information pickets and please spread the word for this Saturday's mass rally in
Surrey for Gaza and ongoing campus and fundraising events for Gaza. Free Palestine! End the siege,
end the attacks on Gaza now!

"There was some element of me that thought the Iraqis would greet us [Americans] as liberators."
-Michael Ignatieff, Charlie Rose Show, 2005.
""Qana was frankly inevitable in a situation in which you have
rocket-launchers within 100 yards of
a civilian population. This is the
nature of the war that's going on ...This is the kind of dirty war
you're
in when you have to do this and I'm not losing sleep about that." -On the Qana massacre by Israel in
Lebanon, 2006.
"Israel has been attacked from Gaza, not just last year, but for almost 10 years...They evacuated
from Gaza so there is no occupation in Gaza." -Toronto Star, 2009.
